Mechanism

The IVT mRNA is single-stranded, has a 5′ cap and a 3′ poly(A) tail. The open reading frame (ORF) encoding the protein of interest is marked with the aid of using starting and stopping codons and is bound through untranslated regions (UTRs). The mRNA is synthesized in a cell-free system with the aid of using in vitro transcription from a DNA template, including a linearized plasmid or a PCR product.
